Chip Overload! Cookies

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make dark chocolate or milk chocolate chip cookies for the holidays..so as I was standing in the grocery aisle trying to make up my mind, I noticed a sale.  All of the chips were on sale, so I grabbed all of them.  Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, butterscotch and white chocolate.  Couldn’t hurt to try all of them out in one cookie, right?  Right!

Here they are.  I poured all four bags into a bowl and mixed them up well, so I could just dump the chips in with the dough to mix everything up.

There they go!  It took a few minutes to stir the chips in with the dough, but I wanted to make sure they were mixed in there well before spooning them out with my cookie scoop to bake.

Whew.  That’s a lot of chips.  They must have passed the taste test too, because my husband went back for seconds, and asked if he could have more.  Success!!  This recipe makes a LOT of cookies, too!

Recipe:

4 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

4 sticks butter or margarine, softened

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 boxes instant vanilla pudding

4 bags of chocolate chips, your choice

Cream butter, brown sugar and white sugar together until mixed well with electric mixer.  Add eggs, vanilla and pudding mix, beat well.  Slowly add in flour mixture while beating, until all of cookie dough is mixed together.  Stir in chips.  Using a cookie scoop, distribute evenly on baking stone or cookie sheet.  In my oven, baking the cookies on a baking stone at 350 degrees for 12 minutes was perfect.
